LEGO’s 293-piece set, The Batcopter: The Chase for Scarecrow 7786 delivers for LEGO fans and Batman aficionados alike. In this set, LEGO serves up plenty of fun with finely detailed characters and vehicles ripped straight from Gotham City to living rooms around the world.
Fashioned closely after the comic book character, a grey and blue LEGO Batman, complete with yellow utility belt, must stop the Scarecrow before he hatches his evil plan to drop horrible fear-gas filled bombs on the unsuspecting masses of Gotham City.
The high-speed Batcopter includes sleek black Batman styling, functioning rotors, a batwing shaped tail stabilizer, rubberized landing gear, and an arsenal of clickable shooting missiles. LEGO Batman fits nicely into a smoked-glass cockpit with a realistic military-style heads up display that actually opens and closes on a hinge.
Build the Batcopter from included plans and ready Batman for a night of battle with the Scarecrow and his fear-gas equipped crop dusting biplane. The included LEGO Batman figure Scarecrow, with imprinted facemask, wears a classic Scarecrow hat and comes complete with a sickle he can grasp in his hand.
Even more impressive, the Scarecrow’s LEGO biplane really shines in full Scarecrow fashion with dual fear-gas crop sprayers and releasable fear-gas bombs. The Scarecrow biplane with a rear stabilizer nicely emblazoned with the Scarecrow face symbol also features a spinning front rotor with visible pistons.
LEGO Scarecrow’s open-air cockpit even includes visible aircraft controls and indicators as well as a rear-facing Tommy gun and accompanying Uzi designed to fight off all but the most persistent Gotham City superhero.
Overall, LEGO’s The Batcopter: The Chase for Scarecrow 7786 leaves little to ask for. Kids and adults alike will marvel at the set’s well thought out detailing and construction. Working weapons and exciting designs promise hours of superhero versus super villain carnage for even the most demanding LEGO fan.
