Well…….digital scrapbooks are faster to create than paper scrapbooks. Save the time spent on coming up with a shopping list for physical scrapbooks materials, traveling to the mall, traveling back home, creating the scrapbook, and clearing up the gigantic mess afterward (clearly the worst part!).
Because digital scrapbooking can be done anywhere, anytime. Create scrapbooks in the comfort of your day bed, in the park, or during recess break. There is no need to worry if the fabric shop is closed for the day, if your cutting and shuffling of stickers will disturb your sleeping sibling, or if any scraps of paper left behind will warrant a scolding from mom.
Because digital scrapbooks are cheaper to create. Buttons, ribbons, clips, stamps, paper, scissors, glue, tape, stickers, strings, stencils; traveling to the material shops and back – all these traditional scrapbook kits can add up to a huge amount of money. Let’s not forget that time is money too.
Because digital scrapbooks are easily editable. No more worrying about making mistakes with wrongly cut photos and paper, and having to run back to the stores to get them reprinted and restocked respectively.
Because digital scrapbooks have updatability. After sending your completed digital scrapbook to your grandmother for her 64th birthday, you find that you missed out something important, like a ‘happy birthday!’ banner. Simply add it in and then send grandma the updated version.
Because digital scrapbooks can be printed. Being in digital form doesn’t mean these scrapbooks get stuck in the hollows of the internet galaxies. Rather, digital scrapbooks provide people the freedom to create, edit and publish on a whim.
There is an option and choice whether to host it on the home pc, publish on an external site, or just print it in physical form and keep it on the coffee table. The best thing about printing digital scrapbooks is that the changes are made and confirmed before printing, so you don’t have to waste precious printed photos.
