The herb Rhodiola Rosea can play an important role in treating your depression or helping with memory and concentration.  However, in order to get the most benefits from Rhodiola Rosea you need to take the proper dosage.

Rhodiola Rosea has recently been studied and proven to be effective in treating depression.  This particular herb is labeled as an adaptogen.  It stimulates the nervous system which can effect help you to concentrate, retain more information, cure depression, and alleviates many stress based sicknesses.

The recommended dosage of Rhodiola Rosea is two hundred to six hundred mg per day.  At that dosage it contains two to three percent Rosavins and less than one percent Salidroside.

Research has been conducted to prove that the effective does of people aging from eighteen to seventy years of age should be in that two hundred to six hundred range.  The non-standardized extract should be taken at least three times a day spread throughout the day.  It should not be taken three hours before bedtime.

If you do not take a capsule it can also be ingested as a tea.  Just make sure you drink a lot of fluids before and after use.

One of the main side effects of Rhodiola Rosea extract is sleep deprivation.  If it is interfering with your sleep try to take it much earlier in the day and avoid taking it at night.  In most cases low doses of this extract can cause a stimulating effect.  At higher doses it has a sedative effect but this is not always the case.
