5 Stretch Mark Prevention Tips

Taking care of your body is the number one thing you can do to prevent stretch marks from occurring. Here are five stretch mark prevention tips:
Eat Healthy Foods With Vitamins A and E
Vitamins A and E contain more antioxidants than any other of the vitamins. They help prevent free radicals from causing damage to the skin. Free radicals cause the cellular mutation and can cause disease. These vitamins also work at keeping the skin hydrated. When the skin is dry it loses its elasticity causing the skin to tear or stretch. These vitamins prevent that tearing.
Drink More Water Daily
Drinking more water can keep your skin hydrated and it keeps the skin taut and strong. Certain caffeine based drinks are very unhealthy for the skin such as most energy drinks, sodas, and coffee. These drinks have very high caffeine levels causing the body to dehydrate. Make sure if you drink any of them that you drink a lot of water afterwords.
*Note – Body builders should also make sure to hydrate even more. When exercising your body is losing a lot of water through excessive sweating. Make sure to hydrate even more before and after working out.
Avoid Losing or Gaining Weight Too Quickly
Mass changes in your body dynamixs are what cause the skin to tear. Weight loss or gain should be gradual. Many pregnant women end up getting stretch marks because of rapid weight gain. Most doctors recommend that women during pregnancy stay between twenty to forty pounds of their weight before pregnancy.
Get A Massage
When you get a massage the blood circulation in your skin is improved. It helps start new cell growth and gets rid of toxins that can cause skin damage.
Exercise More Often
By exercising you can maintain an ideal weight and increase your blood flow to the skin. Both will prevent stretch marks from happening.
